Cambodian Satay - meat on a stick
Satays are a typical Cambodian street food that are incredibly
delicious and just as easy to make. If you take a ribeye steak, cut
it in to basically 1 inch wide by 1/4 inch thick slices, they are
then threaded on a bamboo skewer. They are simply grilled with Salt
and Pepper or brushed with a lite sauce. It takes about 6 minutes per
side on a hot grill. The sauce on the side is a peanut sauce that can
incorporate any level of burn you wish. I have brushed mine with a
simple soy sauce, ginger and chilli rub. It works well with Lamb or
Deer also.
